I love to see and admire graffitis I should say.. and even though street photography isn’t the type of photography I do 100% it’s something I enjoy and eventually I’ll love to do it more often.
I enjoy taking pictures of strangers on the streets but I’m a little shy for that.
The photo above was taken on Bedford Ave. Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
This is the Manhattanhenge on July 7th, 2010. Taken from the Gantry Plaza State Park. A magic moment in life. Waiting for this moment to happen is just perfect… I enjoyed every second.
I missed the ones this year but I was able to enjoy a couple of amazing sunsets from the city around those days.
Please, feel free to share with me your sunset pictures!
This is a photo of James I took in October 2009 when I got my zumbrella. I really love his crazy expressions every time I take pictures of him. He’s very patience with me, especially when I’m trying new equipment.
Taken with the Nikon D40x Exp. 1/100 sec at F/5.6 ISO 200
SB-800 with umbrella shoot through on camera left.
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been controlling my heart rate with the Garmin FR60 watch my husband gave me for my b-day. This watch allows me to keep track of the exercise I do. Since we need more control, we also got a new scale where beside the weight it can measure fat % and my BMI (that I’m still figuring out what it is).
I’m kind of eating healthy, doing slow carbs most of the time and continous exercise, specifically I’m doing Capoeira at least three times a week. I tried one Punk Rope class and almost killed me, my heart rate was jumping from 160 to 180 during a long time, so I’ll stick to Capoeira wich I’ve been doing for almost two years now and once in a while I’ll do a Pilates class.
With my Garmin watch I can monitor the time, calories, heart rate and have it all in the same place with the Garmin Connect but it doesn’t sync with my scale and doesn’t allow me to add the fat % or the BMI manually so I have to have separate graphs/charts for that.
Also I have a chart stuck on the refrigerator door with my daily weight on it so I guess that’s a daily reminder and good motivation to loose weight as well.
I started last week on May 10th, 2011 with 154.4lbs and today May 18th, 2011 I’m at 150.2lbs I’ve seen lots of variations during this week but in general the tendency looks like is going down. Let’s see what happens in a month.
